My name is Pat Tuggey and I absolutely love London. I can remember as a young boy excitedly visiting its many streets and attractions and hearing the fascinating stories behind them. Tales which would fill me with awe, fascination – sometimes horror – and often make me laugh.

I worked in London for most of my career, starting as a messenger, where I had the great fortune of being paid to wander these amazing streets each day. From the hottest days of summer to those dark and cold day of winter there was always something new to discover and different routes to engage which would one day form the basis of many of my walking tours.

A few years ago, I found a short course on exploring more about London by foot. From this I started organising walks for friends and colleagues at work. I guess combining my love of London and its history with a chance to socialise. Naturally this would involve a visit to one of two of London’s amazing pubs, although people always told me the tour was the best part of the evening.

I decided to qualify with the Westminster Tour Guides and Lectures Association in order to perfect my techniques in leading tours and learn more about London. This helped me to develop my style and interests which is not only the history of the varied streets and landmarks but also the stories of the people who have left their mark over the centuries. From Kings and Queens to rogues and paupers.

I would now love to share my passion and knowledge of London on a few varied and interesting walks. If you want to make an enquiry about one of these walks or need further information please contact me at pat@tuggeytourslondon.com.
