As Charles I sits on his horse in the historic village of Charing, staring towards the Houses of Parliament does he wonder “What if…?”. This is Whitehall. Once the grandest palace in Europe and the home of our Kings and Queens it still retains its awe and symbols of Power.

Starting with a 13th century tale of love and remembrance you will hear how Kings not only changed this area but the whole course of British History. The story of the building of the Palace of Westminster including its iconic bell Big Ben and where Winston Churchill sought safety during World War II are two of British Histories great tales.

On this walk you will see many of our national landmarks including Trafalgar Square, Downing Street, The Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey as well as other lesser known gems. So whether it is a short visit to London or you simply want to know more of this remarkable street’s history this tour will be perfect for you.
